The Location
Liverpool is located on the northeast side of the River Mersey, in northwest England. Throughout its colorful history, the city has been one of the greatest seaports in the world and was the gateway for American troops and supplies during World War II. Liverpool today is home to some of the most spectacular architecture in Britain and has produced many famous painters, poets, writers, politicians, actors and --- in the Beatles --- of course, musicians.

The University
Liverpool Hope University is a federation of two colleges, St. Katharine’s (Anglican) and Christ’s & Notre Dame (Roman Catholic). Its history dates back over 150 years. Geographically, these two colleges stand together, facing each other across a quiet avenue in the pleasant Liverpool suburb of Childwall. Currently, the university has over 7,000 students taking courses covering a wide range of subjects. The main campus is three miles from the center of the city and occupies 40 acres of landscaped grounds. Its overall size is very similar to that of Commonwealth University.
